1992 Unified Team Hockey Pin
During the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, several of the fifteen former Soviet Union republics joined together to compete as the Unified Team. Because the National Olympic Committees of these former Soviet republics had not yet been affiliated to the International Olympic Committee, they each used the Olympic Flag in place of their own national flags at the Opening Ceremony and at medals ceremonies, and the Olympic Hymn was played for gold medallists, including the Unified Olympic hockey team, which took the gold in 1992. This pin was used by the Unified Olympic hockey team during the 1992 Games.
