This pin was produced following the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan to commemorate the Soviet Union's ice hockey gold medals in the 1956, 1964, 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics. This impressive run of Soviet Olympic hockey dominance was broken up only by the United States' gold medal victory at the Squaw Valley, USA Winter Games in 1960. The Soviets again claimed the gold medal in 1976 at the Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria. This pin has a value between $5.00 and $7.00 USD.
