Entitled "Salute to the Hockey Stars", this monster sized pin was produced for the Lions Club to celebrate the United States Olympic hockey team's gold medal during the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York, USA. As indicted by the U.S. quarter also depicted in the photo, this is a very large "pin", roughly the size of a BlackBerry mobile phone. It is curious that the pin includes "#2" in the upper right corner of the text area atthe bottom of the pin because I have never seen a #1 pin (or any other numbered pin that would indicate this pin to e part of a series). The value of this pin is between $20.00 and $30.00 USD.
