1998 Women's Inaugural Ice Hockey Gold Medal Pin

This pin was produced following the United States' women's hockey team's gold medal victory in the inaugural women's Olympic ice hockey tournament at the 1998 Winter Games held in Nagano, Japan. Going into the tournament, the Canadian women were highly favored as they had consistently beaten all of their competition for years, including the United States. However, it would be the Americans that skated away with Olympic gold at Nagano, winning the final match against their North American rivals by a score of 3-1. The United States (5-0), Canada (4-1), Finland (3-2), China (2-3), Sweden (1-4) and Japan (0-5) each had a team in the tournament. There were only 1998 of these individually numbered pins produced, and the value of the pin is $10.00 USD.

2006 Sledge Hockey Stick Pin

Okay, so I am not quite certain about this pin. I know it comes from the 2006 Winter Games held in Torino, Italy, but I am not certain that it is a sledge hockey stick pin. To me, it looks like it could simply be an Olympic torch pin, but I have seen it advertised so many times as a sledge hockey stick that I thought I should include it here and perhaps let you all give some input. Either way, whether its a torch or a stick, the pin has a value of $6.00 USD.

2010 Visa Worldwide Sponsor Hockey Mascot Pin

I know, this is not the most exciting pin on the blog, but it is an Olympic hockey pin.
