After years of knowing about the Olympin Collector's Club, this year I finally became a member. Over the years I have purchased numerous pins from Olympin's club president, Don Bigsby (usually on eBay, though I did trade with Don at the Vancouver Olympic Games). The club was founded in 1982 by New Yorker Don Bigsby after the 1980 Winter Olympic games in Lake Placid, New York. Today, per the club's website, there are over 600 members worldwide. The club produces newsletters and an annual club member pin (I received my 2011 pin yesterday), and also sponsors an annual pin collector's fair, which this year will be held August 4-7 in Chicago, Illinois.
